okay in albert camus the plague they werent really alive until they were faced with death but then i started thinking most people dont face death unless they are very sick or very old so they cant really live because they arent physically capable so what i imagine is taking this concept to an extreme and having the government setting a date of death so u know when u will die and can live accordingly and during your last year of life be freed from all societal obligations and given your retirement fund (that would normally last for over a decade) and use it in that year very crude and i want sick people to be quarantined in HOSPITALS so they dont get people sick during their last days and ruin their living quarantining people in hosptials is brilliant but it will be in mockumentary form so i can have fun with it well i am toying with the idea of having the filmmaker being a government propagandist like this is why trying to make a film why u should accept the death policy and obey but it could easily turn into a full blown narrative film like a mockumentary within a film i would ideally want to make this in hunter as a student film so i dont want to go crazy

Songbird
So i have had this concept in my mind for awhile for a screenplay and I on the eve of starting my film classes have begun very early drafting of the plot. It centers around this gay actor who is obsessed with the Late-Leslie Cheung and he begins empathize and emulate the characters he played in films. The film actually should begin with a fairly disturbing masturbation scene to either a Leslie Cheung film or movie poster and slowly escalates to a pretentiously stylized film about murder and sanity littered with motifs that I feel visually represent my repressed desires for reality ( Auteur style 
). The soundtrack for the film will mostly be from the experimental band Tortoise. I obviously need to begin my studies in screenwriting to fully express how i want to compose the scenes, but I have so many ideas in terms of editing, cinematography, sound design from the trillion films ive watched, i feel it is only a matter of choosing from a vast resevoir of techniques that i feel fit my vision. My goal is to finish the screenplay by the end of this year. I envision it to be between 20-35 minutes in length. The title of it will be Songbird.
